Ground broken on new medical facility - Ogden Clinic provided source, Standard-Examiner 07/13/2013
(Standard-Examiner) OGDEN — Ogden Clinic broke ground recently on a $9 million, 41,000-square-foot medical facility that will ultimately replace the existing building at 4650 Harrison Blvd.
The Ogden Clinic Professional Center Campus, which will consist of two structures, will open in fall 2014 and will serve as a central hub for specialty services including dermatology, family practice, general surgery, neurology, pediatrics and ear, nose and throat specialties that include audiology and allergy testing. There will also be a new sleep lab, pharmacy, radiology with upgraded MRI and CT capabilities and a laboratory, said Paul Schofield, chief executive officer.
The buildings will include natural light throughout and will also have easy access from the parking lot, he said
”This new professional center campus marks one of the most significant milestones since our founding,” Schofield said. “Fourteen physicians and 10 mid-level providers will be moving in the new building initially. Ten physicians and four mid-level providers will continue to practice at the new orthopedic and urology center immediately to the south.”
The general contractor for the structures is Wadman Corp. Key Bank is financing the project.
The new facilities will be built immediately to the northwest of the existing building. Patients will continue to have access to, and receive care from providers during construction.
”Replacing our main clinic on Harrison Boulevard further demonstrated our commitment to provide exceptional, convenient state of the art medical services coordinated among our eight locations throughout Weber County,” Schofield said.
Dr. Nadim Bikhazi, Ogden Clinic board president, said “the vision for the new center is to bring a heightened level of health care delivery for patients through a fully integrated outpatient health care delivery experience.”
The clinic accepts nearly all insurance plans and its physicians are credentialed to treat patients at both McKay-Dee Hospital and Ogden Regional Medical Center.
Ogden Clinic has been in business for more than 60 years and employs more than 90 health care workers in 19 specialties.http://www.standard.net
