Nadim Bikhazi, MD
Board President
Dr. Bikhazi received his education at the University of California San Digeo and the University of California San Francisco. He is an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Specialist. Dr. Bikhazi is very interested in research and keeps his patients apprised of the latest technological advances. He has a strong interest in sinus surgery, otology, and snoring. In the summer of 2000 he and his family came to Utah to join the Ogden Clinic and is excited to be part of its growth.
Dr. Bikhazi is a native Californian and is married. He and his wife Karen have two daughters, Lauren and Olivia, and one son, Noah. He enjoys scuba diving, baseball, fishing, and racquetball. He speaks English, French and Spanish.
Kelly Amann, DO
Board Member
Dr. Amann received his Bachelor of Science in pre-med/biology from the University of Utah. He enrolled at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, fulfilling requirements for his medical degree in 1998. He completed a three-year Family Residency at the Riverside Osteopathic Hospital/Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. While completing his residency requirements, Dr. Amann was named Chief Intern, Intern of the Year, and Chief Resident. During his Residency, he started a clinic specializing in chronic musculoskeletal injury. His training includes Pediatrics, Women's Health, Preventative Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Nutrition.
Dr. Amann grew up in Heber City, Utah and is married with a family. He and his family enjoy outdoor sports and camping. He is actively involved in church and civic groups, including Boy Scouts, youth activities and sports programs.
Mindy Boehm, MD

Dr. Boehm achieved her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas in 1975, and her Medical Degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Kansas City, Kansas, in 1978. She completed a Pediatric Residency at the Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri in 1981. She is a general pediatrician who enjoys treating children.
Dr. Boehm enjoys bird watching; snow skiing, scrap booking, hiking, and backpacking.
Edward Jordan, MD, FACS
Board Member
Dr. Jordan graduated with honors with a Chemical and Biomedical Engineering B.S. from Carnegie-Mellon University before achieving his Medical Doctorate degree at the New York University School of Medicine. He received two teaching awards during his residency at Tulane University Affiliate Hospitals. Dr. Jordan has been practicing medicine for 15 years and has been with the Ogden Clinic for 12 years.
He is a marathon runner and Iron Man triathlete. He is fluent in Spanish.
J. David Schmitz, MD
Board Member
Dr. Schmitz achieved his medical degree at the University of North Dakota and completed his residency with the Family Practice Residency Program in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He has also practiced in North Dakota and has been a team leader and Medical Manager in clinics before joining the Ogden Clinic.
Dr. Schmitz enjoys skiing, golf, mountain biking, and chorale music.
Larry O Smithing, MD, FACOG
Board Member
Dr. Smithing received his Doctor of Medicine from the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii. While there he was recognized by Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society and was on the Dean's list for Academic Achievement. He completed his internship and residency at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan. Dr. Smithing has served as Chief of OB/GYN at McKay Dee Hospital and Ogden Regional Medical Center. Dr. Smithing delivers babies and has active staff privileges at McKay-Dee, Ogden Regional, and Davis Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
When Dr. Smithing isn't out delivering babies his interests include classic cars, reading, and golf.

Jeff Sorensen, MD
Board Member
Dr. Sorensen received his medical degree from the University of Kansas. His Orthopedic residency was completed at the University of Colorado. His training and experience are very comprehensive and include sports medicine, joint replacement, pediatric orthopedics, hand surgery, and orthopedic trauma.
Doctor Sorensen recently returned to Ogden after spending the last few years in the United States Air Force, most recently serving at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada. He grew up in West Valley City and attended Weber State University where he played varsity football. His wife, Faun, grew up in Roy and they are excited to be back in Ogden close to family. They have three daughters.
