Procedures / Treatments

  • Abscess Draining Ogden Clinic physicians diagnose and treat abscesses often, usually through draining the sore. Abscesses are not difficult to drain but should be drained professionally. Schedule an appointment today if you have a sore larger than 1 cm or if it continues to grow.
  • Asthma Management There is no cure for asthma, but symptoms can be managed with medication and lifestyle adaptations. Your Ogden Clinic physician can also educate you about asthma triggers that can worsen your symptoms.
  • Casting Orthopedic casting is the most effective way to treat a fracture or a broken bone. Ogden Clinic specialists use cotton and fiberglass bandages to immobilize injuries and promote recovery.
  • Cholesterol Management A treatment plan designed by a healthcare provider to lower a patient’s cholesterol level. A plan includes recommendations for improved lifestyle, diet, weight, and physical activity. Other risk factors are also assessed that can affect a patient’s cholesterol level. In some cases, cholesterol-lowering medications may also provide additional benefit to managing a healthy cholesterol level. Cholesterol management also involves decreasing the LDL cholesterol (“bad” cholesterol) and making sure HDL (“good” cholesterol) is at recommended levels. Patients and healthcare professionals work together to help improve and maintain heart health and reduce the risk for cardiovascular disease and stroke.
  • Congestive Heart Failure Congestive heart failure occurs when the heart does not pump enough oxygen to meet the body’s needs. When the heart’s pumping power decreases it can cause fatigue, shortness of breath, swelling, and other symptoms. Experts at Ogden Clinic are trained to diagnose and manage congestive heart failure.
  • Diabetes Treatments related to diabetes and how the body handles blood sugar.
  • Electrocardiogram (EKG) Test EKG testing is used to check the heart’s electrical activity. The test can help determine the cause of unexplained chest pain or pressure, diagnose diseases, or check the heart health of patients with existing heart conditions.
  • Fractures A fracture is a broken bone. A bone may be completely fractured or partially fractured in any number of ways (crosswise, lengthwise, in multiple pieces). It can be treated through a variety of means.
  • Hormone Management Hormone therapy refers to either estrogen or progesterone treatment used to ease menopause symptoms. Estrogen/progesterone therapy effectively relieves hot flashes, vaginal dryness and disturbed sleep patterns.
  • Hypertension High blood pressure is another word for the condition. Blood pressure measures the force against artery walls as the heart pumps blood through the body.
  • Ingrown Toenail Our providers can address ingrown toenails that are infected or painful.
  • Intravenous Therapy Intravenous (within-vein) is the fastest way to deliver medications throughout the body. This method is used to correct electrolyte imbalances, perform blood transfusion, or as fluid replacement for dehydration.
  • Joint Injections Also known as intra-articular injections (steroid or other medication) that is injected into a joint to treat inflammatory joint conditions (arthritis, tendinitis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, etc.).
  • Laceration Repair Minor skin wounds such as animal bites and deep punctures can be repaired in-office. Depending on the nature/size of the laceration, our professionals will use sutures, staples, or tissue adhesives in an outpatient setting.
  • Lesion Removal Large lesions or lesions in sensitive areas can be removed surgically with local numbing. For minor lesions such as warts, Ogden Clinic specialists can extract them with liquid nitrogen (cryotherapy) or salicylic acid.
  • Mental Health Mental health disorders including depression and anxiety can be improved with cognitive-behavioral therapy, relaxation techniques, lifestyle coaching, and closely-monitored medication to regulate serotonin in the brain.
  • Mole Biopsy Suspicious moles should be evaluated by a medical professional who can determine if they are cancerous. During mole biopsy, all or part of the mole is removed for laboratory analysis.
  • Spirometry Test Spirometry is a test used to measure the amount of air inhaled and exhaled. This test is used to assess how well the lungs are functioning.
  • Wart Removal Painful or embarrassing warts can be removed several ways. We perform cryotherapy, chemical peels, or even minor surgery to remove warts. Medication is also effective depending on the size and type of wart.
  • Well Child Checkups The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) developed a set of comprehensive health guidelines for well-child care that are conducted during well child checkups. These routine visits include growth and development monitoring, preventative care, and vaccinations if needed.
  • Women’s Health and Wellness Women’s healthcare addresses conditions that affect a woman’s physical and emotional well-being. This includes:
    • Preventive care: Pap smears, breast and pelvic exams
    • Sexual health: Family planning, and reproductive exams, screenings and treatments
    • Heavy or irregular periods
    • Treatment of yeast infections, urinary tract infections, and other gynecological issues

Natalie Olson grew up in Ogden. She then spent time living in Southern California, Washington, and Oregon before returning home to Utah to establish her career. Natalie studied at Azusa Pacific University in California for her undergraduate education, and then went to Pacific University in Oregon for her Physician Assistant degree.

What inspires Natalie is caring for the whole family, from pediatric services to geriatric care. She places importance on helping patients become well-informed and educated of their own medical conditions.

In her free time, Natalie enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She also loves traveling, cheering on her favorite sports team, and being involved in her church and community. She has served on medical trips in the past and looks forward to continuing that service in the future.
