Education and Background
She received her undergraduate nursing degree at Montana State University where she graduated with honors. Ms. Whipple practiced nursing in both hospital and clinic settings for several years. She obtained her Masters in Nursing from the University of Utah in 1996 and was inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and the Honor Society of Sigma Theta Tau. In 2004 she completed a post master's Certificate at the University of Utah completing her Family Nurse Practitioner Credentials. Ms. Whipple has practiced at the Health Clinics of Utah where she provided care in both acute and chronic disease management. She has been with the Ogden Clinic since 2003 where she has a Women's Health practice with Dr. Jon Ahlstrom.

In addition to her practice, she has remained active in the American Nurses Association and the Utah Nurse Association where she served on the District 2 Board. She actively organized and is past-president of the Northern Utah Nurse Practitioner Group.

Debbie is married to Dr. Robert Whipple, General Surgeon at the Ogden Clinic. They have four adult children. She enjoys sports, outdoor activities, hiking, her book club and her golden retriever, Marley. Debbie and Bob can be found hiking the hills of Ogden on Thursdays with the hiking club they organized several years ago.
