Education and Background
Dr. Smithing received his Doctor of Medicine from the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii. While there he was recognized by Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society and was on the Dean's list for Academic Achievement. He completed
his internship and residency at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan. Dr. Smithing has served as Chief of OB/GYN at McKay Dee Hospital and Ogden Regional Medical Center. Dr. Smithing delivers babies and has active staff privileges at McKay-Dee, Ogden
Regional, and Davis Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics
and Gynecology.
When Dr. Smithing isn't out delivering babies his interests include classic cars, reading, and golf.
