Practice Philosophy
Nathan enjoys orthopedic rehabilitation because of the direct and immediate impact an injury can have on daily life. Nathan feels the key to successful outcomes is through empowering people to take control of their own symptoms. Educating people about their conditions is of most importance. By helping them recognize the relevant signs and symptoms people are more likely to understand ways to reduce, and ultimatly regain control of their pain and their function.

Education and Background
Although Nathan is originally a Utah native growing up in Kaysville, he graduated with honors from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Professionally, he enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic injuries and he especially enjoys the challenges and complexities of the spine. Nathan is one of only a handful of Utah therapists that are Certified Back and Neck Pain specialists with the McKenzie Institute® USA. Nathan has trained with international experts in spinal care over the past twelve years.

Nathan continues to enjoy learning and has sponsored a number of continuing education conferences for local therapists. In addition, he has lectured about “Common Workplace Injuries”, “Diabetes and Exercise”, and how to prepare for a total knee replacement.

Nathan currently lives in Syracuse with his wife and four young children. He enjoys reading, music, coaching soccer and anything to do with fly-fishing.
