Interests

Brian Mattsson is a Utah native. He grew up in South Ogden and comes from a family of medical providers. His father was an orthopedic surgeon, his mother a nurse practitioner, and his brother is a general surgeon. He graduated from Bonneville High School and obtained a Bachelors Degree in Business from Weber State University. He furthered his career to obtain a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix. He has worked in the medical field a Medical Consultant in Orthopedics, Podiatry, and Amniotic Stem Cells for more than 14 years where he gained a love of medicine.

Brian wanted to become more involved in patient care and studied at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia where he graduated with a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) and became certified as Physician Assistant. He is board certified to practice medicine by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed in the State of Utah. Brian is a member of the American and Utah Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA and UAPA). He is certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS and ATLS and fluent in Spanish.

Brian and his wife Mika have been married for 21 years and have 3 beautiful daughters. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, playing and coaching youth sports – especially soccer and tennis.
