About
Dr. Kaori Morimoto is an OB/GYN practicing at McKay-Dee Specialty Center in Ogden, Utah. She earned her undergraduate degree in mathematics from the University of Oregon before completing her medical degree at Western University of Health Sciences. During medical school, she completed a fellowship in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) and went on to complete her OB/GYN residency at Loma Linda University.
Dr. Morimoto provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, with clinical interests in preventive care and women’s health, female sexual dysfunction, contraception and family planning, pregnancy care, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and inclusive and gender-affirming gynecologic care. She believes in shared decision-making and takes the time to help patients understand their options so they can make informed healthcare decisions that align with their individual needs and goals.
Originally from Hiroshima, Japan, Dr. Morimoto moved to the United States in 2010 and is excited to call Northern Utah home. She speaks English and Japanese and looks forward to becoming an active member of the Northern Utah community. Outside of medicine, she enjoys trail running, hiking, climbing, exploring the mountains, singing in a choir, traveling, and experiencing different cultures. Dr. Morimoto views her patients as the “captain of the ship,” providing medical expertise, guidance, and support while helping each patient make the healthcare decisions that are right for them.
