About
Kari Loehr grew up in the small farming town of Starkweather, North Dakota. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Special Education. She later earned her Doctorate of Audiology from Utah State University in Logan, Utah. While in graduate school, Kari also completed the Utah Regional Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (URLEND) program, further enriching her clinical and leadership skills.
Kari provides comprehensive audiologic care for patients of all ages, offering diagnostic audiometric evaluations, hearing aid consultations and fittings, and balance assessments. She specializes in assessing and managing dizziness, including conditions like benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), and frequently performs tests such as electronystagmography (ENGs) and positional dizziness checks. She values working alongside other healthcare providers to ensure her patients receive well-rounded, collaborative care.
Kari’s passion for audiology was partly inspired by her desire to create a safe and comfortable environment for people facing challenges in their health journey. Her favorite part of the job is empowering her patients through education and support, and she strives to ensure everyone feels seen, heard, and understood—not just like another appointment on the schedule. She especially enjoys answering questions and helping patients participate actively in their own healthcare.
In addition to her clinical work, Kari is committed to raising awareness about rare genetic disorders, inspired by her sister, who lives with Ataxia Telangiectasia. She stays up-to-date on current research and enjoys sharing her knowledge with others in a compassionate, approachable way.
Outside of audiology, Kari loves reading fantasy fiction and classic romance novels, solving the New York Times crossword puzzle daily, playing pickleball, baking, and building crafts. She also enjoys discovering new hobbies and learning new skills. Her beloved Jack Russell Terrier-Chihuahua mix, Sylvie, is a rescue who’s been by her side for many years.
