Background
Nathanael Peeler is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor with advanced training in several evidence-based and integrative therapeutic approaches. His background includes EMDR therapy, neurofeedback, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), internal family systems (IFS), motivational interviewing, and alternative medicine. He is also certified in couples therapy and PEDS-trained.
As a combat veteran, Nathanael has strong ties to Northern Utah and the veteran community. He is an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled Veteran Association, and he volunteers regularly at a local food pantry.
Clinical Interests
Nathanael is especially passionate about psychoeducation and helping patients understand the patterns and cycles that can keep them feeling stuck. He enjoys incorporating mindfulness and DBT skills into therapy to support emotional regulation and personal growth. EMDR is a central focus of his work, and he finds it especially meaningful to help patients process trauma in a way that allows them to move forward with greater clarity and fulfillment.
He also enjoys working with couples, with an emphasis on individual self-awareness. Nathanael believes that strengthening each person’s understanding of themselves lays the foundation for healthier, more connected relationships.
Personal Interests
Outside of the clinic, Nathanael enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active with canyoneering, hiking, canoeing, camping, and occasional rock climbing. He also enjoys playing baseball and values time spent in nature.
