Born and raised in Southern New Jersey, Rachel received her BA in Psychology and her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rowan University. She moved to Vermont and worked in community mental health, doing in-home and community-based family services, followed by adult outpatient services (mental health and substance use counseling) for five years. Rachel received her independent license in 2021 and has been a practicing Clinical Mental Health Counselor since.

In 2022, her spouse received a job opportunity that brought Rachel to Utah for the first time. It’s been a new and exciting transition for her.

Clinical Interests

Rachel Stewart has years of experience working with diverse populations in inpatient, outpatient, and community-based settings. While she sees patients of all backgrounds, she enjoys working with women-identifying and non-binary individuals and creating a safe space to navigate the complexities of life and humanness.

Rachel works with a multitude of mental health diagnoses including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder, and addiction/substance use disorders. From these experiences, she’s developed an eclectic therapeutic orientation that focuses on the use of client's strengths and evidence-based practices, specifically, DBT, CBT, TF-CBT, and motivational interviewing to facilitate change.

Rachel also has extensive experience related to trauma-informed care—specifically related to substance-use approaches, working with families, attachment, regulation, and competency (ARC) and adoption-competency.
