Timothy Houden, MD

About

Dr. Timothy Houden has dedicated his career to pain care. He is one of the original founders of Utah Spine Care, which joined Ogden Clinic in 2019. He specializes in neck and back pain including pain in the shoulders, arms, and legs that can be a result of spinal problems such as sciatica, radiculopathy, herniated discs, degenerated spine, and/or discs, spinal stenosis, spinal degeneration, facet disease, and arthritis. He also specializes in headaches caused by a neck injury and spinal arthritis. He has been performing many variations of spinal injections and interventions since 1993.

Dr. Houden is a national leader in both spinal injections and the spectrum of pain management. He was one of the first to provide radiofrequency ablation in Utah. He is involved with medical research towards improving pain relief with advanced technologies. He is also a master-level instructor for The Spine Intervention Society where educates other physicians on safe spinal injections.

Dr. Houden has been an advisor for the Utah Medical Association and the American Pain Society and he’s currently the president of the Utah Academy of Pain Medicine and the Medical Director of Pain Services for Intermountain Healthcare.

Dr. Houden has been in Utah throughout his career. He has integrated himself into the northern Utah region due to his strong family values and to enjoy the benefits of living in a state with great outdoor activities.
