Spider vein therapy

This procedure is also known as sclerotherapy and is used to treat small clusters of red, purple, and blue veins, called spider veins. These veins usually appear on the ankles, calves, and thighs as women age. They are commonly caused by heredity, pregnancy, prolonged sitting or standing, and weight fluctuation. During treatment a solution is injected into the vein, causing it to collapse and fade.
