Diabetes Care
Diabetes is a lifelong disease that requires careful management. When you have diabetes, it’s important to learn as much as possible about the type of diabetes you have, then work closely with your healthcare team to control it.
At Ogden Clinic, our team of diabetes experts includes primary care physicians, certified diabetes educators, registered dietitians, pharmacists, and other professionals—all devoted to helping you manage your specific diabetes condition in the best way possible. We care for patients with:
- Type 1 diabetes
- Type 2 diabetes
- Prediabetes
- Gestational diabetes
Our Certified Diabetes Educator is Here to Help
Mesha Fagg is Ogden Clinic’s Certified Diabetes Educator. She helps patients across Northern Utah live and thrive, assisting with:
- Blood glucose testing and training
- Continuous glucose monitoring
- Insulin pump training
- Carbohydrate counting and nutrition guidance
- Education to help you avoid complications
How to Schedule with Mesha
If you’re an existing patient, ask your family medicine (primary care) provider about scheduling a visit with our Diabetes Educator. New patients should establish care with a PCP and ask them for a referral to Mesha. Mesha serves Ogden, Layton, and Bountiful, Utah at these clinics:
- Davis Family Physicians: Monday & Tuesday, 8AM-5PM
- Cope Family Medicine: Wednesday, 8AM-5PM
- Professional Center North: Thursday & Friday, 8AM-5PM
Registered Dietitians for Diabetics
A Registered Dietitian (RDN) works with diabetic and pre-diabetic patients on meal planning guidance and nutrition education. People with diabetes need to understand how foods affect their bodies to manage the disease. RDNs provide detailed information about how to eat and practical tips for addressing daily challenges. One of our dietitians can put together a daily meal plan that considers your individual food preferences, level of physical activity and lifestyle choices. For help navigating a diabetic diet, reach out to Ogden Clinic's metabolic health team here.
